Harvested only in the early months of March and April, when the mountain air in the Yunnan province of China is moist and cool. Ying Ming Yunnan is a springtime tea from the ancient birthplace of the tea plant itself, where black teas develop a character found nowhere else.
The cup is rich and smooth with Yunnan's trademark peppery-honey depth and a soft, golden-tipped sweetness — full flavoured yet gentle, with almost no astringency.
Brew one heaping teaspoon per cup with freshly boiled water for 3 to 4 minutes. Beautiful plain, where its complexity shines; a small splash of milk turns it velvety.
