Sencha

Traditional Japanese Sencha — green, grassy and mild. Sencha is the everyday tea of Japan, steamed fresh after picking to lock in its vivid colour and clean vegetal character, and it remains the benchmark against which all Japanese greens are measured.

This cup is exactly what sencha should be: fresh-cut grass and gentle sweetness, a smooth body, and a clean finish with just enough briskness to keep things lively.

Brew one teaspoon per cup with water around 75 to 80°C for 1 to 2 minutes — short and cool is the secret to a sweet, smooth cup. Drink it plain, as it has been enjoyed in Japan for centuries.
