Kagoshima, at the southern tip of Japan, is one of the country's great tea regions, and this leaf shows its pedigree: vibrant freshness up front, gentle umami depth behind it, and a crisp finish that asks for another cup.
Brew one teaspoon per cup with water around 75 to 80°C and steep 1 to 2 minutes — Japanese greens reward a short, cool steep. Drink it plain; this is a tea with nothing to hide.
