Dragonwell

A popular green tea from the Zhejiang province of China — and arguably the most celebrated green tea in the world. Dragonwell (Long Jing) is prized for its flat, sword-shaped leaves — traditionally pressed by hand against the side of a hot wok in a technique perfected over centuries.

The cup is smooth and mellow with a signature chestnut-like sweetness, gentle vegetal freshness and almost no astringency. It is the green tea to reach for when you want to understand why China's greens are legendary.

Brew one teaspoon per cup with water around 80°C and steep 2 to 3 minutes; the leaves are lovely for a second infusion. Best enjoyed plain, without additions.
