A full-bodied, gently tart black tea blend crowned with an intensive cocoa and chocolate note. Mayan Chocolate takes its inspiration from the original home of chocolate, where cacao was drunk dark, rich and unsweetened — this is chocolate tea with depth, not candy.
The tartness of the base tea plays against the cocoa the way dark chocolate plays against fruit: bold, slightly bittersweet, and far more interesting than a simple dessert blend.
Brew one heaping teaspoon per cup with freshly boiled water for 3 to 5 minutes. Add a splash of milk and a little sugar to bring out the milk-chocolate side, or drink it plain for the full dark-chocolate experience.
