A FOP grade of leaf from the Fujian province of China, blended with rose petals and natural essence of rose oil. Rose Congou is the great classical rose tea — Chinese black leaf scented in the traditional style, producing a cup that is smooth, warm and gorgeously perfumed.
Congou refers to the careful, labour-intensive Chinese method of making whole-leaf black tea, and that craftsmanship shows: the base is soft and slightly sweet, the ideal partner for the rose's fragrance.
Brew one heaping teaspoon per cup with freshly boiled water for 3 to 4 minutes. Drink it plain to appreciate the balance — this is a tea that needs nothing added.
