A blend of teas from the major tea regions of India — Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri — capturing the full range of the subcontinent in a single cup. Star of India offers a medium bodied tea with considerably more character than a traditional Orange Pekoe blend.
Assam brings its trademark malt and strength, Darjeeling contributes the muscatel liveliness that made it famous, and Nilgiri from the south adds a clean, fragrant brightness. Together they make a wonderfully complete black tea, interesting enough to drink plain and sturdy enough for milk.
Brew one heaping teaspoon per cup with freshly boiled water for 3 to 5 minutes. An excellent choice for anyone wanting to taste what Indian tea is all about.
