The CTC (cut, torn and curled) leaf style infuses quickly and gives a deep reddish-brown cup with robust, malty strength — the kind of tea that was made to be softened with a generous splash of milk. In Ireland this style is drunk all day long, and once you have tried it you will understand why.
Brew one teaspoon per cup with freshly boiled water for 3 to 4 minutes; it gets strong fast. Milk and sugar are not required, but they are traditional.
