The trick with any tea ball is to leave room for the leaves to expand. Fill it about half full — if the tea is packed tight after steeping, that is the sign you have used too much leaf. Given space, the leaves unfurl and release their full flavour into the cup.
Clip it over the rim of your mug, steep to your usual time, and rinse clean when you are done. An inexpensive essential for anyone getting started with loose leaf tea.
